Courses
A day with Surfers-Roots:
To us, the Surfers-Roots team, it is important to give you the most important message of all, which is about the roots of surfing lifestyle. It already starts early in the morning when you are picked up.

The message is:
Pick up: no stress, start the morning with good surfer’s music. Surfing courses depend on the tides (low tide, high tide) as well as the weather conditions and the surfers’ mood. Pick-up times from the camp are not fixed as they are with most of the bigger surfing schools.
Forming surf groups: it makes no point to take over a beach with 20 surfers. Nobody will feel comfortable and you will learn less. We usually split up into groups of 5-8. In this way you can make the best progress. (Of course it is also possible to rock the beach with the whole group, depending on its size, max. 8 persons per surf van.).
Then we get going: from the holiday place of Corralejo to the destination of the day: your surf coach will decide where to go (surfing courses usually take place at different beaches around the island). Depending on the surfing level and the weather conditions we will head for the island’s east, north or west coast. The cool thing about Corralejo is that it is only approx. 20 min. away from all coastal regions and is therefore reached in an easy and relaxed way. A coffee-breakfast stop is always scheduled. You are also able to buy low-priced food for the day (we always carry a fruit basket and sufficient drinking water in the surf van)..
Arrival at the surfing beach: depending on the weather conditions you will use wetsuits or not. At first will warm up, followed by a short time of stretching & theory. Then you will start the first surfing session (1.5 hrs.). Most participants use the subsequent break to gather new strengths (lunch snack). Others enjoy the vast, untouched sandy beaches for a short walk with their friends or partners….
Second surfing session: the second surfing session depends on the participants’ strengths; normally it lasts another 1.5 hours. Then we return to the camp. There - mostly tired - you are free to decide about how to spend your afternoon. To us it is important to design an individual programme for each participant. The highest priority of Surfers-Roots is
“Quality is more important than quantity”
